Christmas isn’t Christmas without fabulous festive foodie treats! Read on to discover some of our favourites…
We know, we know! We have technically already touched on Festive Foodie Finds in Pt.1 of our CWG Gifting Guide to Christmas BUT we just have so many yummy products we want to share with you that we had to do another guide! This final segment of our 4 part series will be solely dedicated to sharing with you yummy food to gift or enjoy yourselves across this jovial season, where our bellies are bound to get bigger! But it’s so worth it!
Girl About the Aga
Yumminess Number 1 is brought to you buy the wonderful Verena at Girl About the Aga. The Queen of homebaked brownies, delivered straight to your door. A perfect cosy treat for you or a loved one this Christmas. With the bonus of doorstop delivery you can even get them delivered straight to your loved one’s house, so if you have someone special to you who lives a little far away you can still share the Christmas (and brownie!) love with them this year. I mean, is there a better form of love than brownies?! Verena’s flavours regularly change so keep an eye on her website for the latest tantalising treats on offer. Dairy free and Gluten free options are also available.
Camilla’s Kitchen
The sweet theme continues into Yumminess Number 2 as we take a look at the amazing hand-baked biscuits from Camilla’s Kitchen. Not only are Camilla’s biscuits super yummy (which we can vouch for) but they also come hand decorated in the most gorgeous themes. Whether it’s a Christmas or equine obsessed friend; shooting lover; gardening enthusiast or farming fanatic that you are buying for, Camilla’s Kitchen will certainly have you covered. If you can’t find a range that sums up your loved one, you could order a bespoke range to really make it a perfectly personal present this Christmas.
South Devon Chilli Farm
We can’t think of a better accompaniment to a brownie or biscuit than a hot chocolate but how about taking it up a notch? If you fancy gifting a hot choccy with a twist (or should we say kick!) we love the sound of South Devon Chill Farm’s signature chilli drinking chocolate. Made from a ‘unique blend of the finest dark chocolate and homegrown Devon chillies’, you can be sure this hot chocolate will warm you up good and proper! Choose from three different chilli centred flavours, Original, Winter Spice and Orange.
If you want to spice up your Christmas a little more, we would definitely recommend taking a look at some of the other offerings from this Chilli Farm, ranging from sauces and preserves through to real fresh chillies!
(P.s we take no liability for any chilli kicking repercussions you may incur!).
Gattertop Drinks Co
Sticking with ‘sippable’ gifts, we move away from heat and focus more on strength… with some fabulous alcoholic offerings from a long time CWG favourite, Gattertop. You may remember Emma interviewed the wonderful Gemma from Gattertop back in September last year, and in that time they have gone from strength to strength. We think their Cocktail Kits would make a fabulous gift this Christmas, choose between the classic Bloody Mary, Dirty Martini and Ultimate Moscow Mule or push the boat out and try something unique with their Damson Royale Cocktail Kit centred around their signature Damson N°12 Liqueur. Whichever one (or several) you choose, we know it will be a delicious choice!
If you have a friend or family member who also loves to top up their tipple with a snackable accompaniment, Gattertop’s Hampers have you covered. Incorporating the best of both worlds, vodka and snacks in one beautiful hamper – what’s not to love!
Luxlo Spirits
More often than not now, we have friends who are no longer fans of tipples of the alcoholic kind so maybe a lower-alcohol option would be a better suited gift? Don’t worry we have you covered for that too – we recommend taking a look at Luxlo Spirits, tried and tested by Charlotte and thoroughly enjoyed! For Gin lovers botanicals infused with natural flavours like pomegranate, raspberry and blood orange are on offer or stick to a classic with their dry gin! For the Rum lovers, you can expect rich flavours from their Island Spiced Rum and Golden Reserve. For a cleaner fresher flavour their Paradise White Rum would be perfect! If there’s just too much choice, or you’re not sure which one your recipient would enjoy most, you could purchase a few of their miniatures and make your own gift set, or purchase Luxlo’s ready made Discovery sets.
The Courtyard Dairy
And last but not least it wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of cheese! Whether you fancy gifting (or buying for yourself – we don’t judge here!) a Rolling 3-Cheese Monthly subscription or The Perfect Christmas Cheeseboard , The Courtyard Dairy has all your cheese needs covered! They even offer Virtual Cheese Tastings – what a fantastic gift these would make! The tastings are conducted over Zoom by expert cheesemonger Andy Swincose, guests receive all the info they need in the post including a full list of instructions and of course the box of cheese iteself! We really think that would be an amazingly unique and fun present!
This Festive Foodie Special signifies the end of the Christmas Gift Guide series for Countrywoman’s Guide. Across the whole series we hope you have discovered some beautiful new brands, been reacquainted with some classic ones and found all the inspiration you need for your gift gathering this year!
Good luck, and happy gifting!
